This photoblog was runnig for the last 6 years on Pixelpost, a simple and sturdy photoblog. Some weeks ago I transferred to WordPress, using a very smart script fromĀ eleventwentysix.com to get the old posts and comments injected in my brand-new blog. It did a pretty good job but the theme I’m using is demanding for an other way of embedding the pictures so there is some handwork left.

Becoming a photographer was long in the line of expectation…

Deskman was born when I needed a login name for a forum. Since my company is named Deskdesign I couldn’t think of anything better than Deskman, the man behind…

It became the World Wide alter ego of Olof Fredrikze, born on the 10th of march 1960 in Heemstede, Noord Holland, The Netherlands. Taking pictures started when I was… well, I can’t remember. Probably when I was 7 years old I was allowed to take a look through the viewfinder of my dad’s Ikoflex and push the button. And surely I was allowed in the darkroom to enjoy the magic of developing a film in total darkness.

But life is what you make it and after a certain time of developing myself I became a started my own designstudio Deskdesign, and chose not to be not a photographer. But photography played in every stage of my life a role of some importance.
